How to delete pages from a PDF
Written and maintained by PrivyPDF · Last updated October 4, 2026
Remove blank, duplicate, or sensitive pages by creating a new PDF copy in your browser.
When to remove pages
Removing pages is useful before sending a report with an internal appendix, a scan with duplicate pages, or a form with an accidentally blank page. It can also reduce the amount of material a recipient has to review. Deleting pages is not the same as redacting information inside a page.
Enter pages to delete
Add the source PDF and enter individual pages or ranges, such as “2, 4-6”. PrivyPDF builds a fresh document without those pages. Page numbers are one-based. If you are removing a sequence, check both endpoints carefully so you do not leave behind a page that should be excluded.
Review before sharing
Open the new PDF and check the page count, first page, last page, and any references that point to removed pages. Look for blank pages created by a scan or for sensitive information in headers, footers, and attachments. Keep the original until the new copy has passed your review.
Understand the privacy boundary
The operation runs locally in your browser and does not upload the source file. However, deleting a page does not erase information that was duplicated elsewhere in the document or embedded in selected pages. For legal or confidential material, use a dedicated redaction and metadata-removal process when required.
PrivyPDF processes files locally in your browser. Keep your original files until you have reviewed the downloaded result.
